Abstract

The idea of making machines that can work self-sufficiently goes back to established times, however look into the usefulness and potential employments of robots did not become generously until the twentieth century. In recent years, there has been tremendous advancement in the field of robotics and there has been a tremendous growth in the use of robots in various domains such as medical, industrial, defense etc. In this paper, we discuss about the categorization of robots, enhancement in robotics, possible future advances and threats to humankind.
