摘要
Medico-biological manipulation is the application of \nscientific-natural methods and techniques on the part \nof a human being who is conscious of the fact that he \nis operating upon another -equally human- being, \nwith the aim of inducing the latter to act in an unconscious \nmanner in any particular direction. \nManipulation has to fulfíl, therefore, the following \nprerequisites: \n1) the manipulator has to be conscious of his \nactuation upon the other human being; \n2) the person being manipulated has to be a \nconscious individual, at least potentially; that is, he \nmust be a human person, but \n3) the manipulated subject must not be conscious \nof the fact that he is being operated upon. \nBearing these prerequisites in mind, we can conclude \nthat: \n1) genetic manipulation is not possible, nor is \ncerebral manipulation, the latter form being understood \nwithin the framework of direct action on the brain \n-by means of neuro-surgical or neuro-physiological \nmethods- since apart from being ineffective (at least \nit is very difficult to achieve concrete planned results). \nthe abolition of conscious knowledg,e is lacking; \n2) the utílízation of drugs or the so-called brainwash \nare much closer to the concept of manipulation, \nInsofar as their applications and effects are concerned, \nalthoughin these cases also, it is difficult to foresee \nthe final result achieved upon the person being manipulated. \nIn a word, an objective analysis of the biological \ntechniques and of their results demonstrates that any \nfear in a future -robotization - of personality, founded \nwholly from a cultural point of view -think, for exampie, \nof the manipulation carried out by p'ropaganda or \nthrough publicity- does not appear to have much \nchance of being converted into a realíty, at least with \nreference to medical methods.
