摘要
Robo-Res is experimental humanoid rescue-robot research to lead rescue operation on the impassable situations. This research represents the material-impact analysis for the design of humanoid rescue robot to meet the features of Robo-Res. Several analyses have been done to scrutinize the impact of common body materials for the leg and hand design of humanoid rescue robot. A previously developed impact testing machine has been used to experiment various materials, which includes heavy materials such as cast iron, brass, mild steel along with the soft materials such as acrylic and aluminum. “ASTM E-23” standard has been followed for the experiment. After the successful impact test, the strength and temperature effects are visible for the mentioned materials. These data will help to design not only the leg and hand design in Robo-Res 2.0 and 3.0 consecutively but also in further robotic body design for rescue purpose.
