摘要
360 degree spherical cameras are often used for localization of devices in the field of robotics, as it can obtain wider range of information compared to usual cameras. In this paper, we propose the use of such spherical cameras in the field of indoor navigation systems. Our system is made up of a cloud service that manages photos tagged with coordinates and features, and by sending the spherical image to the service, the estimated coordinates of the user's position is returned. We confirmed through experiments that our system can be used to augment existing indoor navigation systems in reducing the localization errors.
