摘要

An automatic choreography method to generate plausible animal-like body movement is proposed. This method is based on Bartenieff's (1980) and Kestenberg et al.'s (1999) theories that are conventionally used to evaluate human's psychological and developmental states by analyzing the body movement. The idea of the paper is to use those theories in inverse way, namely to generate body behavior that is plausible regarding evolutional, developmental and psychological states. This method facilitates to choreographing body movement of humanoids, animal-shaped robots, and CG characters in video games. The paper describes the basic ideas, and reports an implementation example on a CG character.
