About
Wenxing Jia is a leading researcher in the field of intelligent robotics for smart grid applications, specializing in the design, modeling, and control of hybrid flying–walking power transmission line inspection robots (FPTLIRs). His work addresses critical challenges in high-altitude, windy environments where maintaining stability and energy efficiency is paramount. Jia’s major contributions include developing a multiobjective energy consumption optimization framework using an improved NSGA-II algorithm, which has garnered 14 citations for its impact on flight mission efficiency. He also pioneered a novel hybrid inspection robot walking device, cited 9 times, that optimizes stability performance for real-world deployment. His recent research employs the Absolute Nodal Coordinate Formulation (ANCF) for dynamic modeling of robot landings on flexible, inclined transmission lines, and he has advanced three-dimensional path-following control using an improved line-of-sight method. With a growing citation record and publications in 2023–2025, Jia’s work is foundational for the next generation of autonomous inspection robots, directly enhancing safety and reliability in the electrical power and energy industry.
