Sung-Woo Lee is a pioneering researcher in wireless and inductive power transfer (IPT) systems, with a particular focus on enabling autonomous and mobile robotic platforms to operate without the constraints of wired charging. His most influential contribution, a two-dimensional inductive power transfer system for mobile robots (2013, 62 citations), introduced an elegantly simple single-wire-layer power floor architecture combined with evenly displaced multiple pickups, allowing robots to receive uniform power across wide operational areas exceeding 3.5 square meters.
