Shreemat Shrestha is a leading researcher in remote sensing and atmospheric science, with a primary focus on characterizing surface reflectance and quantifying the climatic impacts of aerosols. His seminal work, "Characterizing LEDAPS surface reflectance products by comparisons with AERONET, field spectrometer, and MODIS data" (2013, 67 citations), established a critical validation framework for satellite-derived data, demonstrating how ground-based measurements can improve the accuracy of land surface products.
