About
Max Robinson is a pioneering head and neck surgeon whose work has fundamentally reshaped the management of oropharyngeal cancer, particularly in the UK. His research centers on transoral robotic surgery (TORS) as a minimally invasive approach to treat and diagnose head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, with a special focus on human papillomavirus (HPV)-positive disease. Robinson led the first UK TORS practice and has been instrumental in establishing its safety and efficacy, as evidenced by his landmark study on TORS for cancer of unknown primary (50 citations) and his work on residual and recurrent tumors (41 citations).
