About
Mario Palacios-Corella is a leading researcher at the intersection of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and small-scale robotics, pioneering the development of biodegradable, multifunctional microrobots for targeted drug delivery. His major contributions include the creation of MOFBOTs—the first biodegradable MOF-based microrobots—which integrate magnetic Fe@ZIF-8 composites to serve as both drug carriers and motile components, overcoming the dual challenges of low drug loading and poor degradability in clinical microrobotics.
