About
Kwang Hyun Kim is a urological surgeon and researcher whose work has significantly advanced the field of minimally invasive and robot-assisted urological surgery. Operating primarily at Yonsei University, Kim has focused his career on optimizing surgical techniques for prostate cancer, renal tumors, and upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma. His most influential contribution — a 2014 study on Retzius-sparing robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALP), now carrying 143 citations — demonstrated that this innovative approach could meaningfully improve early continence outcomes by combining advantages of both retropubic and perineal techniques.
