About

Keyvan Arezoo is a robotics researcher whose work centers on the dynamics, control, and mechanical design of wheeled and articulated robotic systems. His most impactful contribution addresses a critical challenge in mobile robotics: the dynamics modeling and path-following control of tractor-trailer-wheeled robots under wheel-slip conditions. This 2024 study, with 23 citations, significantly advances the state of the art by moving beyond the pure-rolling assumptions that have limited prior work on differentially-driven wheeled robots with trailers, enabling more realistic and robust control for high-payload, high-maneuverability applications. In parallel, Arezoo has contributed to the design of robotic manipulators, introducing a novel symmetric cable-pulley mechanism for gravity compensation. This 2022 work, while more recent, demonstrates his versatility in addressing fundamental mechanical design challenges to improve static and dynamic performance. Together, his research bridges theoretical dynamics and practical control, offering solutions that enhance both the autonomy and mechanical efficiency of robotic systems. With a growing citation record, Arezoo is establishing himself as a thoughtful contributor to the fields of mobile robot control and mechanism design.
