About
Keun Ho Lee is a pioneering gynecologic oncologist and surgeon whose research focuses on advancing minimally invasive surgical techniques for gynecologic cancers, particularly ovarian and endometrial malignancies. His major contributions center on evaluating the feasibility, safety, and efficacy of novel surgical platforms, including single-site robotic systems and the ArtiSential fully articulating laparoscopic instruments. Lee’s work has been instrumental in demonstrating that these technologies can overcome the limitations of conventional laparoscopy by enabling wrist-like, 360-degree movement, thus bridging the gap between traditional and robotic surgery. Notably, his 2017 study on single-site robot-assisted laparoscopic staging for early-stage ovarian cancer (18 citations) established a foundational approach in the field. He also led the KGOG 4002/GYANT study, a prospective multicenter trial across 10 Korean institutions, confirming the safety of ArtiSential for gynecologic cancer surgery. Additionally, Lee has contributed to the development and clinical validation of Revo-i, Korea’s first competitive surgical robot, marking a significant national achievement in medical robotics.
