Jonathan Hwang is a leading urologic surgeon and researcher whose work has significantly advanced the field of robotic prostate surgery. His primary research focuses on optimizing surgical outcomes for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer through minimally invasive techniques. Hwang’s most impactful contribution is his landmark multi-institutional study on robotic and laparoscopic simple prostatectomy for large prostate glands, which has garnered nearly 200 citations and established evidence-based benchmarks for perioperative outcomes.
