Hong Liu is a versatile researcher whose work spans two remarkably distinct yet equally impactful domains: clinical medicine and robotics engineering. In the medical field, Liu has made significant contributions to perioperative monitoring practices, most notably through a landmark 2014 survey study examining the intraoperative use of pulmonary artery catheters (PACs) in cardiac surgery, which has garnered 93 citations.
