Ewart J. de Visser is a leading researcher in human-robot interaction (HRI), with a particular focus on trust, teaming dynamics, and the psychological dimensions of human relationships with automated systems. His landmark 2011 meta-analysis on factors affecting trust in HRI, now exceeding 1,900 citations, established a rigorous quantitative foundation for the field and remains one of the most influential works in robotics and human factors research.
