About
Bipin Bhakta is a leading figure in rehabilitation robotics, whose work has fundamentally advanced the use of technology for upper limb recovery after stroke. His research focuses on developing intelligent, user-centered robotic systems that can deliver safe, effective, and accessible therapy outside of traditional clinical settings. Bhakta’s most significant contribution is the creation of the Intelligent Pneumatic Arm Movement (iPAM) system, a dual-robot platform that uses a cooperative control scheme to guide voluntary reaching exercises.
