Adam L. Houston is a pioneering figure in the application of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to atmospheric science, with a primary focus on severe storm research. His most notable contribution is the design and validation of a robotic aerial platform for targeted, in situ sampling of supercell thunderstorms, including those that spawn tornadoes.
