Dr. Xiaoyan Wu is a leading researcher in advanced manufacturing, specializing in the friction stir welding (FSW) of lightweight alloys, particularly aluminum–lithium (Al–Li) systems used in aerospace. Her work focuses on the critical intersection of robotic automation and material science, addressing the challenges of welding high-performance alloys to achieve superior mechanical properties.
