About
Peter Rimington is a urological surgeon whose research has fundamentally shaped our understanding of surgical approaches to bladder cancer treatment, particularly through comparative analysis of open, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted radical cystectomy. He is perhaps best known as a principal investigator of the landmark CORAL trial — one of the few prospective, randomised controlled trials directly comparing all three surgical modalities — whose 2015 publication has accumulated over 337 citations and whose long-term oncological follow-up, published in 2019, further cemented its clinical significance.
