Jize Liu is an emerging materials scientist whose research sits at the intersection of bioinspired soft robotics, stimuli-responsive actuators, and self-healing materials. Drawing inspiration from living organisms, Liu has pioneered the development of intelligent material systems capable of mimicking complex biological behaviors—from color-changing camouflage to thigmotropism and bioluminescence.
