Abstract
Moving in the environment including steps or relativly large obstacles is a challenging task to wheeled robots. We discuss conditions of ascending a high step and analyze the improvement of the step ascending ability. Some simulation and experiment results are included to illustrate the validity of the analysis and proposed method.
