Abstract
As part of the DARPA Tactical Mobile Robotics (TMR) program, Georgia Tech \ninvestigated the human interface issues associated with controlling robot \n"units," multiple robotic agents working as a team. This report provides an \noverview of the system design for such applications, including an assessment \nof hardware and software components for effectively controlling robots, even \nwhile the operator may be occupied with other critical activities. It also \naddresses the issues of operator selection and training, with extensive \nsurveys of the most closely related prior research.
