The use of multiple OpticRam cameras for robotics applications

Abstract

Stand-alone personal computers equipped with an OpticRam camera are successfully used for simple vision tasks. This includes color identification segmentation of simple shapes, and classification. A simple network configuration utilizing a number of these cameras is described. Each camera resolves one simple feature in a complicated decision tree. Initial evaluation of the network showed that it can be used efficiently in real-time vision tasks.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
