Abstract
Collaborative robotics are the image of the safe coexistence of humans in the same workspace around the robot, and yet they remain largely underutilized due to the complexities of planning while ensuring safety. This paper emphasizes the criticality of safety standards and risk mitigation in collaborative welding robot systems, highlighting welding hazards and the need for ISO compliance to protect workers and the environment. It stresses the importance of machine learning integration in the control system of welding robots to ensure proper productivity optimization and foster safer human-robot collaboration.
