Abstract
Nonverbal behaviors such as facial expression, gesture that play an important role in human-human interaction, are not taken into account in human-robot interaction for social and service robot. The aim of this paper is to present our work for Vietnamese facial expression recognition including facial expression database building, face detection and facial expression recognition. Our main contributions in this paper are a Vietnamese facial expression database and preliminary results for face detection and facial expression recognition.
