Abstract

Self-Healing Actuators Soft robots exploit deformable materials for conformable physical contact and controlled manipulation. In article number 2000248, Chaoying Wan and co-workers combine a self-healing elastomer with a piezoelectric to create a self-healing actuator that mimics leaf-motion. The work addresses the emerging influence of soft actuators for sensing, actuation, and damage resistance in soft robotics.
