Duckietown project pros and cons

Abstract

The Duckietown project is aimed at developing a software and hardware platform for education and research on robot autonomy. The project includes the design of robots, a mock-up of cities, and additional infrastructure elements such as Watchtowers that can be utilized for navigation. The platform also includes a software-based Gym-Duckietown robot simulator that allows for simulation of robot operation in a virtual environment. Duckiebots leverage the Jetson Nano platform to control the Duckiebot robot, also carrying hardware GPU acceleration for complex computations.
