Abstract

Communication plays a vital role in multi robot systems addressing real time applications. Because of high performance of Wireless Local Area Network [WLAN], its use for wireless communication among multi robots has become an efficient method. However, in a system with a greater number of robots, it becomes hard for the robots to interchange data at a time because of their limited communication capabilities. In such case, an ad-hoc robot networking method is more promising. The key intention of this paper is to implement an ad hoc wireless communication among robots using the ZigBee technology. In this paper we have performed AODV routing protocol simulation for 4 nodes expressing four moving Robots on Network Simulator version 2.29 to explain the simulation process for Robots transferring data through Zigbee and compared it with DSDV.
