Abstract
Web-based robot simulation, which requires no explicit installation and has better graphics program interface, is getting more attentions. This paper presents a cloud-based system framework for providing a web-based 3D robot simulation platform. Using SolidWorks, a 3D geometric model of the robot links is built up. WebGL technology is implemented to build the dynamic simulation environment by mapping space model as well as update the objects display. Moreover, cloud server is used to providing service and develop data center using multiple servers. The system can be applied to experimental test and teaching demonstrations. The performance of application shows that WebGL-based robot simulation has a great display effect.
