Abstract

In this paper we propose an ROV system (remotely operated vehicle) equipped with sensors and camera to monitor the marine life and offer impact estimation for the placement of oilrigs in the Black Sea reservoir. The robot is equipped with a low resolution analogue camera for real time image used by the pilot of the ROV and a HD camera for video recording of the marine ecosystem; the sensors (IMU and pressure sensor) are also used for helping the pilot maneuver the unit. All the electronic components in the robot are mounted on a specially designed frame using AutoCAD and made using a 3D printer. They will be placed in a watertight enclosure that can withstand depths up to 100 meters. The data coming from the sensors are analyzed using a LabView interface.
