Abstract
This paper introduces a new principle and real structure of no-scanning, fast response, arbitrarily distributed tactile sensor array using piezoelectric resonator and their applications as force/pressure, temperature and biochemical sensor array. The piezoelectric sensor has a very high mechanical quality factor and stability, and the quasidigital output can be measured easily end precisely. The sensory method in the array is very specific and output is no-scanning, the sensory position can be measured according to the time difference of arrival wave at transducers on the array. Because of the softness of the piezoelectric film, the tactile sensor array of piezoelectric film is adaptive to sensitive skin of intelligent robot.
