Overview
For Hand-E is a gripper integration featuring XELA's uSkin tactile sensors (uSPr HE35). Equipped with 30 tri-axial tactile sensors across two modules mounted on fingertips, it measures 3-axis forces with 0.1 gf resolution at 500 Hz sampling. Soft, durable design handles fragile objects with temperature and magnetic compensation.
Key features
- ▸Custom uSkin tactile sensor fingertips with 30 tri-axial sensors (15 per fingertip)
- ▸Ultra-compact sensing points: 4×4 mm area, 4 mm thin sensor profile
- ▸3-axis force measurement: shear forces (X, Y) and normal force (Z)
- ▸Ultra-sensitive: 0.1 gram-force resolution with low hysteresis
- ▸Robust design: 1500 gf per point, overloadable to 3000 gf
- ▸Fast sampling at 500 Hz with minimal wiring via CAN daisy-chain
- ▸Temperature and magnetic field compensation included
- ▸Soft, compliant sensor skin protects fragile objects
- ▸Calibrated to Newton (standard or individual calibration options)
- ▸Easy integration with custom brackets and signal validation support
