Overview
Eagleye is a vehicle integrated navigation system using GNSS and IMU. It fuses GNSS, IMU, and vehicle speed sensors to provide stable, high-precision position and attitude estimation even in GNSS-denied or multipath environments. It is open-source, compatible with Autoware, and jointly developed by MAP IV and Meijo University. An Eagleye ECU bundle is available for standalone operation.
Key features
- ▸Low cost, high cost performance using inexpensive GNSS and IMU
- ▸Supports a wide variety of GNSS and IMU models
- ▸Stable high-precision position estimation even in urban areas and tunnels
- ▸Relative position accuracy ≤0.5 m/100 m, absolute position accuracy 1.5 m (lane distinguishable) without RTK
- ▸Integrates GNSS absolute position and relative trajectory estimated from GNSS Doppler/IMU to eliminate multipath outliers
- ▸Uses GNSS Doppler velocity to correct vehicle speed sensor scale factor and IMU offset errors
- ▸Available as Eagleye ECU: sensor and processing ECU set for standalone output
- ▸Customization options for specific environments and applications
