Object representation: on combining viewer-centered and object-centered elements

摘要

An object representation is discussed, which combines aspects of object-centered and viewer-centered representation schemes. Thereby, advantages of both schemes are combined and several disadvantages are eliminated. The representation has been successfully used in an active robot vision system. Recognition results are presented.
