摘要
Landmines constitute a formidable hazard to the safety and survival of human populations residing in post-conflict areas. The accurate determination of the precise geographic coordinates of a landmine represents a pivotal and indispensable stage within the comprehensive demining procedure. The primary aim of this research paper is to engineer an economically efficient, straightforward, and highly efficient robotic system designed for the subterranean detection of landmines. The specific use of this type of robot is to lead a military patrol in distant areas of Balochistan and Waziristan where militant often buries landmines and IED’s on the patrol routes resulting in hundreds of causalities every year. Considering the rough terrains in such areas the mobile robot is designed in this research for off-road conditions with good ground clearance. While keeping the primary purpose intact by a closed-loop mine detecting mechanism using two degree of freedom robotic arm mounted with a metal detector. Since the robot is remotely operated, a wireless teleoperation and video surveillance system is established between controller and robot which doesn’t use any third party medium like internet and is completely based on radio frequency transmission.
