摘要
We examine the function of play as it applies to the autonomy of constructed agents in a dynamic environment. Play happens naturally when there is uncertainty over tasks and outcomes, when there is potential for change, and in open environments or unexplored domain. Jean Piaget's cognitive model of adaptation as a combination of imitation and play will be the starting point of this examination of how play enhances learning and behavior development in a dynamic environment through looping interactions. We will consider if play can happen in a system of constructed agents, and if so, to what extent play would be desirable given the tasks of the system and the nature of the environment.
