摘要

The quest to achieve human-like intelligence in artificial systems has been a long-standing goal in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). In recent years, researchers have turned their attention towards brain-inspired cognitive architectures as a promising approach to unlock the potential of human-like intelligence. This book chapter explores the advancements and challenges in developing brain-inspired cognitive architectures for AI. It delves into the fundamental principles of the human brain and its cognitive processes, drawing inspiration from neuroscience and cognitive psychology. The chapter also examines various existing brain-inspired architectures, such as neural networks, deep learning models, and neuromorphic computing, highlighting their strengths and limitations. Furthermore, it discusses the application of these architectures in solving complex tasks, including perception, reasoning, learning, and decision-making. The chapter also addresses the ethical implications and societal impact of developing AI systems with human-like intelligence. Overall, this book chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the cutting-edge research in brain-inspired cognitive architectures and presents insights into the future directions and potential breakthroughs in achieving artificial systems with human-like intelligence. The practical applications of brain-inspired cognitive architectures are then explored. The chapter delves into how these architectures can be used to solve complex tasks, such as image and speech recognition, natural language processing, autonomous decision-making, and robotics. It highlights the advantages of using brain-inspired architectures in these domains and discusses the challenges that researchers face in implementing them effectively. Furthermore, the ethical implications and societal impact of developing AI systems with human-like intelligence are addressed. The chapter examines the potential benefits and risks associated with these technologies, emphasizing the importance of responsible development and deployment of AI systems.
