摘要
The management of model bases using system entity structure concepts is addressed. Building on the basis of the system entity structure/model base framework as implemented in the DEVS-Scheme, the authors have extended the ability of their knowledge/model base tools to support multifaceted systems design through the ability to generate a family of design alternatives, reusability of models, and model base coherence and evolvability. It is shown how the pruning process supports reuse of previously pruned structures. Concepts of context-sensitive pruning and partitioned entity structure bases are introduced to promote model base coherence and evolvability. Such an approach has been demonstrated in the design of a robot-managed space-borne laboratory simulation environment.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
