摘要
How teams of small autonomous mobile robots, called microrovers, can be applied to many of the planetary surface missions being planned is discussed. A microrover is a small self-contained robot that is capable of autonomous local navigation. Some of their logistical problems, i.e., their overall capabilities, delivery mechanisms, communications, etc., are outlined. Some basics on how to get teams of microrovers to act in concert are examined. Examples of how teams of rovers can be used to accomplish useful missions of science and space operations are given. Some thoughts on the overall utility of microrovers are presented.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
