About

Yidan Zhang is a rising innovator in the field of electrochemical biosensing and food safety detection, with a particular focus on mycotoxin analysis. Her research centers on the rational design of advanced nanomaterials and signal amplification strategies for ultrasensitive toxin detection. In her landmark 2023 work, Zhang pioneered a novel Mn²⁺-triggered swing-arm robot strategy, synthesizing for the first time anemone-like copper-based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) loaded with gold–palladium nanoparticles (AuPd@Cu-MOFs) as signaling probes. This was coupled with PEI-rGO/AuAg nanosheet composites to construct a highly sensitive sensor for T-2 toxin, a potent mycotoxin.
