About
Tadashi Yamamoto has made landmark contributions to kidney biology through his pioneering work in renal proteomics. His research focuses on the molecular characterization of the glomerulus—the kidney’s filtering unit—and its role in health and disease. Yamamoto’s most cited study, “Two‐dimensional electrophoretic profiling of normal human kidney glomerulus proteome and construction of an extensible markup language (XML)‐based database” (2005, 72 citations), established the first comprehensive proteomic map of the normal human glomerulus.
