Susumu Inamoto is a pioneering colorectal surgeon whose work centers on advancing minimally invasive and robotic surgery, with a particular focus on improving outcomes for high-risk and elderly patient populations. His research has been instrumental in demonstrating the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic and robot-assisted procedures for octogenarians with colorectal cancer, as highlighted in his 2024 multicenter study analyzing postoperative risk factors.
