Stuart Bates is a leading figure in robotic astronomy and time-domain astrophysics, renowned for his instrumental contributions to the Liverpool Telescope (LT) and its suite of cutting-edge instruments. His research focuses on the rapid characterization of transient phenomena, including gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and supernovae, through innovative robotic systems.
