Sivaram Rajan is a pioneering urologic surgeon and researcher whose work has significantly advanced the field of robotic-assisted prostate surgery. His primary research areas include surgical technique innovation, patient-reported outcomes, and the histopathological characterization of prostate cancer. Rajan’s most impactful contribution is the development of a “self-cinching” vesicourethral anastomosis technique using a novel absorbable barbed suture during robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP).
