Dr. Sai Chou is a pioneering robotic surgeon whose work is redefining the boundaries of minimally invasive oncologic surgery. His primary research focuses on the application of advanced robotic platforms for complex hepatobiliary and pancreatic procedures, as well as high-risk vascular oncology. Dr. Chou’s most significant contribution is the development of a novel, step-by-step technique for robot-assisted thrombectomy in patients with Mayo grade III/IV inferior vena cava tumor thrombi—a procedure traditionally considered among the most dangerous in surgery.
