About
Professor Rosalie Viney is a leading health economist whose research centers on the valuation of health outcomes, economic evaluation of healthcare interventions, and the application of stated preference methods to inform health policy. Her major contributions include pioneering work in developing and applying discrete choice experiments to understand patient and societal preferences for healthcare, particularly in cancer screening and treatment. She has also made significant advances in the methodology for measuring and valuing health-related quality of life, with her work on preference-based instruments informing health technology assessment in Australia and internationally.
