About
Noel Gough is a pioneering scholar in environmental education, curriculum theory, and posthumanist inquiry, whose work challenges conventional boundaries between nature, culture, and technology. Drawing on poststructuralist and feminist perspectives, Gough reimagines science and environmental education through speculative fiction, narrative, and embodied experience. Among his most provocative contributions is the paper "Cyborg, goddess, or magical girl/heavenly woman? Rethinking gender and technology in science education via *Ghost in the Shell*" (2022, 5 citations), which critically extends Donna Haraway’s cyborg manifesto to explore how anime and popular culture can disrupt entrenched dualisms in science classrooms.
