About

Masashi Ikeuchi is a pioneer in micro-robotics and biomedical micro-devices, with a focus on developing tools for precise single-cell manipulation and minimally invasive medical interventions. His most-cited work introduces the world’s smallest micro active catheter, measuring just ~300 µm in diameter, fabricated using the innovative MeME-X process—a combination of membrane micro embossing and excimer laser ablation.
