Masahiko Saga is a pioneer in the field of reproductive biology and micromanipulation technology, best known for his groundbreaking work in assisted fertilization. His most cited research, "Subzonal insemination of a single mouse spermatozoon with a personal computer‐controlled micromanipulation system" (1992, 25 citations), introduced an innovative automated approach to sperm injection.
